Pain is like water. It stays wherever it is held. When you build walls around the water, it will never leave. The water always follows the path of least resistance, it accepts whatever it can get, never fighting for what it wants, just taking the easiest road. That is pain. Pain goes wherever it is welcome. Pain stays when we build walls. We don’t even need to try to let it out, we just need to tear down the walls. The pain leaves when we don’t try to hold it in.
