One sure sign of pride mixed with ego that eventually leads to victimhood, is the false belief that you have the right or even authority to tell people what they can and can’t say. Your only right is to react appropriately, not to condemn, criticize, or restrict before hand. One way is the way of control, the other is the way of agency. Other-Control is always wrong. Self-Control is always right. 

Humility is the opposite of having to be right. A pure heart requires humility.

The things we have to have become our prison. 

The thoughts we don’t control serve as our master. 

The relationships who take but never give limit our growth. 

When you trust someone, you feel they will do what is best for all involved.

When you don’t trust someone, you know they will do what is only in their best interest. 

The absence of desire is just as fulfilling as the obtaining of it. 

Not wanting a certain thing is just as beneficial as having it. 

No material goal or possession is worth the cost of anxiety. 

Either fix the anxiety or fix the goal. 

There is always going to be change in life. Life is full of twists and turns. The disturbances are not our life, our life is how we perceive and then react to those interruptions. 

A year of doing is worth more than a lifetime of talking.

People with experience are better equipped to solve problems than people who study experiences. 

Even when your heart is in the right place, you need check to make sure what you think is right is actually right for the other person. Often the definition is not the same and this leads to missed expectations and misunderstandings. 

Initiative beats expertise if expertise decides to wait… 

Influence beats power if power becomes selfish…

Inspiration beats motivation if motivation gets tired…
