Self-centered experts are hard to trust. No one likes a “guru”.  But everyone wants to follow and be guided by a true expert or guru, they just do not want to feel like they are being told, spoken down to, or manipulated. 

To get your expertise trusted, show them you care more for them than you do about your ego.

Teams are not good for making good decisions. 

Decisions still need to be made by individuals. 

Good teams help leaders make better decisions. 

Daily decisions are hard. Long-term commitments are serious, but easier. Once you decide something, and stay committed, your daily decisions are already 90% made. 

If you know what you want, the journey becomes worth it.
