Those who specialize win – because when you specialize you are able to notice the patterns. Expertise is the ability to see patterns. Without specializing, you will never see the patterns.

What We Feel vs What We Know
What we feel always is stronger than what we know.
We know what to do, sometimes we don’t feel like it.
We know who to trust, sometimes we feel like trusting someone else.
We know what is right, sometimes we feel like doing something wrong.
We know what is real, sometimes we feel like nothing works.
When we learn to control and manage our feelings to gain alignment between what we feel and what we know, we will find peace and fulfillment.
Seek Out Criticism
While praise is nice, it doesn’t help us all that much.
Criticism hurts, but criticism helps.
When we learn to adapt and grow based on negative feedback, our potential is reached.
Safety Is Not Real
Safety is not being safe, safety is feeling safe. Safety is a feeling. Safety is not based on truth or reality. There are so many variables that cannot be controlled, what can be controlled is our long-term response to every situation we are in. Anxiety and fear do not allow you to feel safe. To find safety learn to develop more faith, more hope, and more peace.
Harder Future
If you want a better future, grow.
Growth can be hard, but a future without growth is much harder.
Out of Box Goals
Thinking big only helps if you set goals to match those dreams. Set goals that help you get our of the box.
To do big things, you need to take actions that are not normal, that are outside the box. Not just thinking outside the box, but being outside the box.
Victims
The Victim:
Suffers
Is Angry
Complains
Is Nervous
Feels Jealous
Is Apathathetic
Feels Attacked
Hides Knowledge
If Full of Excuses
Breaks Promises
Needs To Be Motivated
Finds Reasons To Be Sick
Knows It Is Not Their Fault
Resents Those In Authority
Thinks Others Are Out To Get Them
No one is perfect, we all act like victims at times.
The key to dealing with victims is empathy, especially with yourself.
Empathy in action is:
-care
-concern
-listening
-accountability
-encouragement
-trust
-love.
Empathy in action takes courage.
Empathy in action is leadership.
Attitude Rules
Our attitude(s) determine more about our results than anything else. Our opportunities are created from our belief and confidence in what is possible. Our attitudes build our behaviors and our actions form our results.
Discipline = Freedom
The best leaders help others maintain discipline through encouragement and accountability.
We are disciplined we feel worthwhile, we feel needed, we feel productive. Discipline opens doors and creates options.
The lack of discipline means we have to follow the rules of others, discipline allows us to set our own course.
Don’t Accept It Anymore
If you are willing to put up with it, you will always get it, you will always have it. Until you stop allowing something to be present, it will always be there. Change what you tolerate and you will change your life.
