The best find the way on their own. They want to be guided, but they don’t want the work done for them. In order to help top performers do not do the work for them, do not give them their ideas and answers – rather, coach and support and teach and mentor and let them find their own path.

Every thought we have triggers other thoughts. This is because our world is made from connections. Nothing has meaning without the context we accept and beleive. We decide how we associate each thought with other thoughts, that is the power of choice and the control we have been gifted.

When we have fear, or false ideas, or are thinking wrong it doesn’t help to deny those feelings or ideas.

Instead:

Accept – accept what you are thinking and feeling.

Name – name and label the thoughts. You are not the feelings, but you are experiencing them.

State New Intention  – decide what you want to think and feel and express the new thoughts in your mind by writing them down or saying them outloud.

Change Behavior – once you restate your experience, you can act on the new information. Nothing is real until you take action.

Our behavior is driven by our mindset which gets its directions from the meaning we apply to every situation.

You don’t need to have all the skills.

Just don’t devalue the skills others have that you don’t.

Focus on your strengths and let others focus on theirs.

To share a message effectively: repetition and simplicity must be the foundation.

Growth doesn’t mean you won’t face challenges, it does mean that when the same challenges come up again you are better prepared emotionally and spiritually to handle them, allowing you to focus on more important issues, like problems you haven’t faced yet.

Your personal warmth doesn’t need to burn you just to keep others comfortable.
