If you are focused on others, they can tell.
If you are focused on yourself, everyone can tell.
Focus determines perspective.
Perspective determines decisions.
Decisions determine actions.
Actions determine outcomes.

Here is what 15 years in the “real-world” taught me:
The desire to change is what drives changes.
If other desires are stronger though, then change doesn’t happen.
The stronger desire will always dictate outcomes.
Some suffering is our fault.
Some suffering is needed.
Sometimes we prolong the needed suffering and make it unneeded.
Sometimes we are too attached to a previous reality that we suffer instead of accepting the new reality.
We all have something to contribute.
When you find what your contribution will be, everything else becomes easier.
Fear is a bully.
When fear is confronted, just like a bully, it will usually disappear.
Say sorry.
Say sorry faster.
Sustained excellence is a result of accountability and care. If you care enough and hold true to your commitments to yourself and to others, then excellence becomes consistent.
There are different levels of approachability, the highest means people want to share with you — not just that they “feel like they can”.
The lead better, become more approachable.
When someone is trying to do what is right, but is not yet perfect…
When someone is trying to learn, but is not yet educated enough…
When someone is trying to do good, but is not yet good enough…
Support. Encourage. Help.
Support & encouragement go much farther than condemnation (i.e. works better)
Those who condemn those who are trying: are the real bad people. (hypocrites, self-centered, etc.)
