Remember how much hope and purpose you felt before you let pride and ego take over your mind and heart?

When someone lets go of universal truth for “personal truth” the justification is often individual freedom, but the real result is captivity and imprisonment by your own external desires and internal pride, selfishness, and ego. 

You don’t have discipline. You don’t find discipline. You do discipline. Discipline is the key to finding success. Discipline isn’t about hard work. Discipline is about doing what needs to be done no matter what our emotions, feelings, body, or brain says to the contrary. 

One sure sign of pride mixed with ego that eventually leads to victimhood, is the false belief that you have the right or even authority to tell people what they can and can’t say. Your only right is to react appropriately, not to condemn, criticize, or restrict before hand. One way is the way of control, the other is the way of agency. Other-Control is always wrong. Self-Control is always right. 

Humility is the opposite of having to be right. A pure heart requires humility.

The things we have to have become our prison. 

The thoughts we don’t control serve as our master. 

The relationships who take but never give limit our growth. 

When you trust someone, you feel they will do what is best for all involved.

When you don’t trust someone, you know they will do what is only in their best interest. 

The absence of desire is just as fulfilling as the obtaining of it. 

Not wanting a certain thing is just as beneficial as having it. 

No material goal or possession is worth the cost of anxiety. 

Either fix the anxiety or fix the goal. 

There is always going to be change in life. Life is full of twists and turns. The disturbances are not our life, our life is how we perceive and then react to those interruptions.
