We always do what we feel gets us what we deep down want. Sometimes that is praise, sometimes that is sabotage. Sometimes that is reward, sometimes that is rejection. As we understand our previous actions, we can adjust our future. 

The hardest decisions, the biggest battles, the longest wars are always the ones that we fight between ourselves, the conflicts between heart and our mind.

Rather than winning though, the goal should be alignment, unification, and synthesis. 

It should not be a fight, but rather a deep dive into understanding yourself. 

The more important the moment, the harder the struggle becomes. 

The hardest times require the most focused dedication and greatest amounts of hope. 

Life is a journey, some people will be with you the entire way and parts of the journey might require new traveling companions.

 

The problem with courage is nothing can force it. 

The benefit of courage is nothing can stop it. 

The decision to act with courage is a choice, and the choice is always yours. 

When someone disagrees with you, trust that they might have a perspective you have yet to consider. Do not change your opinion right away, but carefully find the new vantage point and determine if your position is still accurate. If it is, they helped you strengthen your belief. If it is not, they opened you to even more truth. Either way, disagreements help when we are humble. 

If you care, you show it. 

Whatever you care the most about, shines through and is always made known. 

There are two type of friends everybody needs: 

Some people fix problems,

others prevent them. 

Both are needed. 

The longer pretend to not care, the larger the eventual eruption. 

The more we disguise our feelings and intentions, the more infected the wounds become. 

 

As we hide from those who know us best, we are really only hiding from our own potential.
